RESOURCE CONNECTION

In support of our vision of a community that is connected, empowered, and living life abundantly, RA staff will connect interested individuals to relevant classes, resources, and events held at The Beth and in the neighboring community. Our focus is on the importance of healthy eating, achieving food security, and practicing radical self-care in communities of color like Southside and Alton Park. These opportunities have the potential to improve the overall wellness of community members. Wellness is defined as an active and ongoing process that allows individuals and the broader community to reach their full potential. 

We invite you to think of overall wellness as being healthy in many dimensions of our lives. That includes the emotional, physical, occupational, intellectual, financial, social, environmental, and spiritual parts. These dimensions are interconnected, one dimension building on another.

Individual Wellness:

 Involves being happy and satisfied with life, having basic needs met, and contributing to the communities in which we live.

Community Wellness:

Involves creating and sustaining an environment that is equitable and just for all.
